Recovering from Paralysis Due to a Tumor the Size of a Buttock on the Tailbone — Shrinking Without Surgery Using ECCT, Surviving Over 5 Years
In 2020, Mrs. Qurotul Aini (AI) was diagnosed with a massive 19 cm malignant chordoma at the base of her spine that had destroyed her sacrum and pelvis. Surgery was deemed too dangerous—her doctors warned of possible paralysis or death—so she turned to ECCT therapy. The first sessions were intensely painful, causing burning sensations and profuse sweating, followed by extreme detox reactions including foul-smelling stool, gas, and milky urine. Yet within six months, MRI scans showed the tumor had shrunk dramatically to about 8 cm.
Clinical recovery came more slowly. For months she couldn’t sit or stand, remaining bedridden and using a catheter. Around month 6 she took her first steps, and by month 10 she could urinate normally again. After 2.5 years she still relied on a wheelchair but could manage light housework. Continued ECCT use further reduced the tumor size and restored her strength.
By 2025—five years after diagnosis—Mrs. AI walks independently and participates actively in the Lavender Indonesia cancer survivor community. Her remarkable patience and perseverance turned an inoperable, life-threatening case into a story of recovery and renewed independence.
