Conventional methods like chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy are often limited by the tumor\u2019s ability to adapt through genetic mutations and metabolic changes. The tumor microenvironment further complicates treatment by blocking drug penetration, suppressing immunity, and sustaining cancer stem cells, leading to disease progression. To overcome these hurdles, electric field therapies have emerged as a promising alternative, targeting cancer cells differently from traditional approaches. By altering cell voltage, ion transport, and structural integrity, these therapies selectively disrupt cancer growth while sparing healthy tissues. They also improve treatment effectiveness by stabilizing blood vessels, reducing low-oxygen areas, and boosting immune responses. Additionally, electric fields may help prevent metastasis, enhance drug delivery, and improve access to the brain by temporarily opening the blood-brain barrier.
