Mrs. Ani and her husband had undergone various methods for five years since 2013 to conceive before their efforts had to be halted because her pregnancy program coincided with the emergence of cancer in her breast.
In 2018, an ultrasound revealed a lump in her breast, measuring 1.5 cm. A biopsy indicated it was malignant. The doctor advised her to stop her pregnancy program. Not only that, but she would also need to undergo a mastectomy and possibly a hysterectomy, which would mean she could never have children. This was a difficult decision for both her and her husband.
Ultimately, she decided to use the ECCT device and discontinue her hormone injection pregnancy program. ECCT allows for cancer therapy for pregnant women without the need for breast removal surgery.
The response to ECCT during the first year of use was relatively stagnant; the tumor did not shrink but also did not grow. The previous hormone injections might still have been affecting cancer activity in her body, preventing optimal therapy effects.
It was only at the beginning of 2022 that the lump in her breast became undetectable. An ultrasound still detected a small size of about 0.5 cm. Mrs. Ani continued using the ECCT device. By mid-2022, she was declared pregnant naturally, despite having stopped her pregnancy program for a long time.
The mechanism of ECCT allows for assistance in natural conception by cleaning the uterine lining, which can prevent pregnancy failures. During her ECCT treatment, Mrs. Ani experienced discharge similar to leukorrhea.
She went through her pregnancy and gave birth naturally. By September 2023, her child was five months old, coinciding with Mrs. Ani celebrating five years of being cancer-free since her initial cancer diagnosis.
